Environment Section received the award for best research

Dr. Abdulla Elhenshir, head of the Environmental Section Participated in Chimia 2009, Conference which took place during the period 13-19/05/09 Imageon Constanta city - Romania, the conference organized by the University of Ovidius under the theme (New Trends in applied chemistry). The Environment Section present three papers on this conference:

1. Evaluation of bio-Surfactants Enhancement of Bioremediation Process Efficiency for Crud oil Contaminated Soil at Oilfield

2.CFD Modeling of contaminant transport in soils including the effects of chemical reactions

3. Using of produced water associated with oil and gas production as a Source of Hydrogen: Solar Electrolysis Cell Application


The paper entitled, (Using of produced water associated with oil and gas production as a Source of Hydrogen: Solar Electrolysis Cell Application.). Selected and reward certificate as a best papers in the topic of the environment and oil, and on this occasion the opportunity to congratulate Dr Abdullah Elhenshir - head of the environment section - and members of the environment section and we wish them success and further progress and also our congratulate well connected to the staff and LPI management for their support and giving opportunities to participate in scientific forums and to represent the best representation of the Institute.

ISO 17025:2005 Surveillance Assessment
LPI’s ISO 17025:2005 Laboratory Management System Surveillance Assessment was done on the 10th May 2009 by DAP. ImageThis assessment was coordinated by the Quality System Office with the support from all the Laboratories, Supporting Departments in LPI and a consultant from ARPRO Training & Consultancy. The Surveillance audit was carried out to assess the existing ISO 17025:2005 Laboratory Management System established and implemented in LPI as part of its commitment to demonstrate its competence in producing technically valid data and results, customer satisfaction and continual improvement. There were 2 NCR’s issued based on the assessment carried out. The assessor was satisfied with the implemented system. The top management had also pledged their continued commitment to the effective implementation of the system.
