The Libyan Petroleum Institute (LPI) is an affiliate of the NATIONAL OIL CORPORATION (NOC) of    Libya. It is a multidisciplinary research and educational institute. As a technical arm of NOC, LPI has a diversified, yet clear, mission. Part of its mission is devoted to education, knowledge dissemination and technology transfer. Under this role, LPI organizes a number of successful technical and scientific gatherings. Technology of Oil and Gas International Forum and Exhibition (TOG) is one of these gatherings.

 

 Libya is expected to be in the middle of the world petroleum buzz for the next few years. International oil companies are rushing to this country looking for access to potential oil and gas fields. With the acquisition of concessions by many of these companies through open bidding, Libya is expected to become world recognized in the fields of exploration, production and downstream activities. These three themes will be the major focus of TOG 2006.

 

 Bearing in mind the main theme of the conference Sustainable Development of Oil & Gas Industry in Oil Producing Developing Countries, TOG 2006 aims at fostering the integration of NOCs experience with the IOCs experience in the field of sustainable development as related to oil and gas industry in oil producing developing countries. It will feature sessions focusing towards issues of interest to stake holders in these countries.

 

TOG 2006 will be beneficial for oil companies, commodity and equipment suppliers, service providers, consultants, technology innovators, academicians and students.
